Never cared to much for that forum, I like GFY much better. That other forum doesn't have pornojew or paul markham so it's boring.

March: Request print license on one of many sets purchased. Email a bunch of times with no reply. November: Request print license on one of many sets purchased. Email a bunch of times with no reply. December: Finally make deal for print license on one of many sets purchased. Make extremely clear that I want the payment to post in 2011. Get a promise to send over high res as soon as possible. Email over and over and over again for payment info with no reply. High resolution images are not provided. January: Stop checking every hour in the hopes of a reply in the folder I filter all content provider email to. Mid-January, weeks after I begged for a payment link or email, a reply to my numerous December emails is finally sent, but I don't see it. High resolution images are still not provided. February: Open my content provider folder to go content shopping and notice I'd finally received a reply to my numerous emails. High res images still not provided. I fill out the credit card form, but my bank puts a one day security hold on the payment because their system flags a card being used in too many countries in the same day. And this guy comes running to GFY and, after blowing me off for so long, claims I have been avoiding him and then emails me all hostile, after I was his customer for years. Cliff's Notes: Content provider blows me off for weeks, when I am emailing over and over to get payment on the books for 2011. Then freaks out over one day security hold on card when I notice he finally got back to me. Content provider never delivers promised high res images. |

What is so difficult for you to pay the $500 you owe me?? I would expect more from the respected company that you own... |

Given that I run a respected company and you obviously know this, knowing that you had blown me off for weeks, when you decided to bother resuming the conversation, why wouldn't you just make a GFY post of "hey, Amelia, please contact me"? That apparently was not worth your while, but it was worth your while to be unpleasant over a one day security hold on a bank card being used internationally. You have my credit card, the one day hold ended a while ago, I bought from you for years, so what do you gain by being so unpleasant? It seems a bit like you would rather have a drama than a dollar. Look at the dates on your emails. And look how many times I emailed you trying to buy content from you and trying to pay you. Why were you so unresponsive? What do you think is even slightly inaccurate about the timeline I posted? There is nothing inaccurate in what I posted. |

And it is all very simple: you agreed to the deal in the format I could offer for the price I wanted. Therefor, you owe me that money as we agreed to. You should just say sorry it took so long and send me the money, THEN you are respectful, not the way you are behaving now! |
I think it's sad that so many get screwed over in this and mainstream biz, but the nature of affiliate marketing makes it too easy to 'screw someone over'. More often than not, the business folds, outstanding debts have to get in line to receive anything (if ever) and the business starter simply starts up a new business debt free. Nature of business. Just easier for affiliate-driven business since no background checks are done by the affiliates....
