The Funniest Thing You'll Watch Today !!! Seriously :)

Ok now, this is pure comedy here :) If you can watch this without at least one chuckle, you have no sense of humor, ha ha.

thecooze 02-28-2012 09:49 AM

Seen it!!

bronco67 02-28-2012 10:11 AM

It takes a pretty smart guy to be able to act that stupid.

Emil 02-28-2012 10:14 AM

Hahaha, I love these guys. I grew up in Halifax, NS where they film this. I actually used to work at a restaurant and cook for all these boys!

Spunky 02-28-2012 10:28 AM

Perhaps I'm too old, or maybe it's that I prefer my humor to be funny.

bronco67 02-28-2012 11:32 AM

It would be fun to watch Ricky and Kenny Powers go head to head on Jeopardy.

DWB 02-28-2012 12:22 PM

Someone post a Kenny Powers thread save video.

I've seen him live a handful of times. I went to the same show a few days apart because I was going with two different groups of friends. It is truly amazing how much his act differed from one night to the next on the same tour. I'd say 20-30% of his act changes on any given night, which is amazing considering the length and amount of content he packs into each show. His bit about government diplomacy being like a game of RISK where people just go around dropping flags wherever is brilliant. :thumbsup

Do you have a flaaaag?

Something like this you mean :winkwink:

compare

with

An amazing propensity to get sidetracked :thumbsup

--you can tell which was made for tv (strict time guide) and which was with no tv (just go off at a tangent every now and then)!

Borked have you seen him live yet? It's actually 'worse' than that. At one show I saw in Radio City he did about 10 minutes of improv about a lady in the front row who wore a coat with a velvet collar. From what he was saying, there was no way he could have had that bit rehearsed and it was hysterical. He has a unique way of pairing up seemingly mismatched facts from a really broad area of expertise. I've also seen him bomb doing a bit like that, but nobody in the audience minded... it just gets brushed off as one failed bit out of hundreds during a show. He really is one of the best live performers. Him and Doug Stanhope. They couldn't be more different from each other, or more funny. ;)

Nope, never saw him live... he did Paris twice... the first time my son was being born around that time so never bought tickets (but it was a complete flop - Glorious tour) and the second time I had already moved further south to the coast...

Still, I love his continuous love/hate jokes of the French, especially the use of the "travesty" when he's on a french role.... (travesti == transvestite in french) simply brilliant.

How the frick he manages to go off at a tangent so often and remember where he was is beyond me!!

Relentless 02-28-2012 03:19 PM

If you don't know Stanhope, he has a similar ability....

I don't know if you saw Sunday night's show, but Kenny Powers was on fire. Had to be the most quotable episode ever.
