I believe this has been posted on GFY before. But it's still awesome.

I remember seeing the documentary on the competition between Lockheed and Boeing on the JSF program. Was neat to see the different approaches each company took to meet the same challenges.

it's nice and all that, but it's super expensive... not something states should be developing with all the debt

Imagine how many more teachers we could hire if we didn't buy so many of those fucking things. My wife has to buy supplies for her own 1st grade classroom, but we can make jets float and hit a cricket with a hellfire missile from 10 miles away.

I saw another fighter that could hover like that - the power was incredible.

It hovered just 30 feet from us and the sound/pressure could have killed you.
