How secure is Magic Members WP

How secure is Magic Members WordPress compare to Strongbox ?
Do they protect the movie download and streaming or just hide the download link ?

Just hide the link. I'm 95% sure of that. 5% chance I could be mistaken.

The real difference is Magic Members is basically a member management package, and a pretty good one. You can heave groups of members who can see different posts, etc. Strongbox is a security package, not a membership management system. Magic members doesn't claim to be secure and Strongbox doesn't claim to be a full featured member management system. The two complement each other well. (If you have need for membership management beyond what CCBill provides.)

If you want a lot of different kinds of users, get Magic Members. If you want security, get Strongbox.

Can you use both MM and SB on the same site?

Yes. Magic Members manages the members, Strongbox provides the security.

You do not NEED Magic Members just to interface with a payment processor, though. Some people are confused about that. Magic Members is far more complex than you need just to interface with a processor. Magic Members may be useful for cimplex arrangements where you have many different types of users with access to several different types of content.
