Anonymous busted
I feel like DVTimes posting a random news article, but this is some cool news.
Just look at the pic of one of the hackers on the webpage. Just what I expected. A little twat. http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/06/us/new...html?hpt=hp_t3 |
yay, we can all sleep easy now.
|
he doesnt look 29..i was thinking 15 when i saw his photo..lol
|
the supposed head of lulzsec ratted everyone out.

Interesting to see what he's charged/convicted of.
. |
Finally, they rounded up all those hackers and Murdoch who were paid to hack phones. Nice to see action being taken on powerful corporation for once and not some stupid kids defacing websites as way to distract us all.

At least when they make the movie about these guys Michael Cera should be a lock for playing this guy.
They could be brothers. http://images.askmen.com/celebs/men/...ge_image-1.jpg |
It will definitely be interesting to see how much time they will actually serve, and any fines they get hit with.
|
|
It always amuses me that people are willing to break the law to get their point across. Well, they are about to learn what it's like to be a criminal - Instead of playing on computers they'll be tossing the salad. And when they get out they'll be banned from computers for life.

Looks like the legion is over ...

lock them up and throw away the key. in many countries they'd be beheaded.
we have pretty good free speech rights in the democracies of the Western world, we don't have the right to commit crimes to express our free speech. incredible that English guy in the photo is 29, i'd have guessed 15 or 16. doubt any of them have any strong beliefs on anything, just shit disturbing nerds on power trips - the same kind of anti-social douchebag losers who steal content from us and distribute it. |

there will be more to take their place. anonymous shouldn't really be ddosing sites but should just focus on using info to publicly shame those who seek to take away internet freedom.
|
Break into a government agency, steal sensitive information see what happens when caught.
Break into a large business, steal proprietary information, cost the company business see what happens when caught. Do both as part of an organized, planned conspiracy see what kind of charges and sentences you'll receive. Time for a lot of people to quit hiding behind "internet freedom" and "hacker hero" movie mentality and realize the consequences of being ordinary everyday criminals. . |
It was only a matter of time somebody was going to try to save his own ass by being a rat

In any event, the entire thing is an ongoing recruitment program for the US/UK Cyberwarfare program. Agents pose and infiltrate. A chosen few are arrested. Plea bargains are made. Persons disappear in "jail". Program thus is enhanced with new talent. Rinse and repeat. The Chinese already have proven their mettle. The US and the UK have much catching up to do. And then there are the persons who swear to the dogmas of no master... |

done for gud

Anonymous' motto is "trust no one".

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...es-467x345.jpg These guys will need to have stitches in the ass after a few months. :thumbsup Quote:
These guys will be spilling the beans for any temptation they get dangled in front of them. |
Quote:
Like I said earlier, it was a recruitment exercise to boost the cyberwar defense talent pool. Those arrested will take the deal and be compensated accordingly. |
Quote:
If they keep doing that with hackers what's the deterrent? Yes they will spill the beans, for a reduced sentence. IMO |
Quote:
The personality construct that makes a person a good hacker is one that doesn't adhere to rigid lines of thought, rules or laws. What would be an obstacle to the general public is merely a challenge to code around. Those arrested will take the deal simply because it gives them the opportunity to do what they are doing now with virtually unlimited resources and general immunity. It's a license to run amok - a dream to some hackers. No doubt the ones who were "caught" were profiled and analysed as to their potential for compliance and malleability (I use those terms very loosely). So while those who don't know how these things work are busy applauding law enforcement for catching these "criminals", the reality is that these very same "criminals" will end up joining the first line of defense against Chinese and Middle Eastern hackers in a cyberwar that is just beginning to heat up. |
