Will Windows 8 open the possibility of easier to hack ATMs?

In an interesting and BOLD move, Windows is moving to seamlessly integrate desktop, tablet, etc OS with previously standalone kiosk devices like ATMs via the EMBEDDED version of Windows 8. Is this a disaster waiting to happen or do you think there's enough safeguards engineered in?

I gather that you've never seen a windows blue screen on an ATM before. What do you think that the majority ATM's run now?

BTW, any box, regardless of OS, can be hacked if sufficient safeguards are not implemented.

You can "hack" probably 30% and more of the ATMs right now - just watch "the real hustle." Basically, many of the ATMs are installed with the default service codes and ..... I'm not going to post the rest.
