My min on a job has just jumped to $1999.00

I hit my target 98% of the time when it comes to mainstream web site design and development.

I avoid people who look for bargain basement deals or people looking for a fair price.

My expertise goes way back to the first release of WordPress and then further back to 1999 web site design.

Gimme-website said she closed shop for awhile.

1) "who are the best 5 photographers here"

and

2) "can you please now tell me how to take a decent fucking photo?"

IM just shit talking.. There are hundreds of talented designers here on gfy it's hard to choose just 5. We got the gfy studio of the year, the xbix studio of the year, the ynot studio of the year,the best designer in the world.. they all hang out here. I think the belts should be unified...

Regarding Loreen, I think she does some great adult work, but whenever I have recommended her, people say she is busy backed up for a few weeks. Good for her, but clients wont wait a couple weeks.

All designers who are any good will be booked up.

Yes, plus I generally take 5-7 days off / month for short vacations.
But it depends on projects really. A couple of banners / headers / logos can be made in ~ 48 hours :)

For first round of design work for a primary site, two weeks ... but not for banners. 1-2 days turnaround is expected.

Word to the wise. If a designer can start immediately, they are likely to be shit. All good designers are booked up.

When you want the best, you can wait..................

Designers are as good as the direction given to them by those who hire. I feel sorry for those who are given the directive - "build a site" - then asked to come up with several ideas without clear direction from the client.

Make sure you have a good idea of what you want and your target THEN see if a designer can match your vision

way too overpriced shit, someone paid like $1500 for a simple header for their blog.
