75% of the program is just completely disrespectful Obama bashing. i feel sorry for the loss of american political culture, i havent seen something like that in any other civilized country |

You should also get BBC, Al Jazeera and CNN news channels. Not to mention 4 dedicated movie channels and the Universal Channel. Sci Fi channel ... at least 1 dedicated German language channel ... etc... etc.
The only reason to watch Fox news is you want to :2 cents: |

but i got fascinated by that bullshit |

It's a good at riling up the sheep. Fascinating how many people buy into nonsense. Hate and negativity are powerful tools. |
there's this show called "The Five" with this Greg Gutfeld - i havent seen someone being so arrogant and so stupid at the same time - he makes me want to throw stuff at the TV

You can bang them in a box, you can bang them with a fox. You can bang them in the rain, you can bang them on a train. You can bang them in a boat, you can bang them with a goat. (my favorite) You can bang them in a house, you can bang them with a mouse. You can bang them on Soi 6, you can bang them with raw dicks. You will bang Pattaya hookers you see. You will bang them all with me! He said those words were going to make him famous but he needed to clean it up a bit. Not sure what ever happened to the guy. |
The news has been "arrogant" and "disrespectful" of sitting presidents in the US for a long long time. It was that way during Reagan, Clinton, and both Bushs. Especially since Clinton. Perhaps you are only seeing it in this light since a news source is being that way towards a President that you like. Then again, like you said, you haven't been exposed to much internal US news.

I had to give up on True Visions years ago, because of horrible, stupid, terrible tv programming

but that a TV station spends 75% of its time to bash a president was new to me especially hilarious: every second news report started with "fair and balanced" and then 2 minutes later they were back how this is Obamas fault. thats not a news channel, thats a joke |
any 'shit' on tv is good in my book... :2 cents:
i like poo... |
There's only shit on any TV...

when you have a group of people lead by the president tearing down america, its good to have at least one of the big 4 news channels calling them out on it. |

it is one of the reason american politics is so twisted and their politicians on the right are retarded. |

this is what amazes me about this planet... people all over the world watch US news, care about who we vote for etc... but Americans we dont give a shit who you vote for in your coumntry, we dont watch your news and we dont really care one way or the other... I wonder why that is?
I cant imagine normal americans saying "ok, let me watch the news in oslo this morning, or i wonder whats going on in venezuela tribunal today" lol but people all around world watching fox news? most americans dont even watch the shit LOL |
talking heads have always bashed sitting presidents, but usually that's where it ends. i thought bill maher (who i find kinda funny but is annoyingly far left) had an interesting take on why suddenly it seems ok to bash this president to his face in public.

And why not watch the news of another country? not caring about whats going on in the rest of the world isnt something to boast about :winkwink: |

#2. When I am in EU I do watch the local news. I may not always understand the words, but with the video it is not too difficult to figure out what they are talking about. #3. I suspect some foreigners watch Fox (or any other English speaking news station) to help improve their English. I have friends that learned English by watching the news (and cartoons). |
Foxnews requires you to think that they're just the right wing equal of what they insist is left wing media (regular media that's not fox fits this category). Luckily it's painfully easy to see through it as you found out. Bullies always try to say "they started it".

""For decades we've been reading about how American schoolchildren can't find Mexico or Canada on a map, and yet nothing seems to change," says Ransdell. "These people who don't know the difference between Switzerland and Swaziland then become the main consumers of news. And in poll after poll they tell us that they want less foreign news and more of what I call 'selfish journalism' -- which stocks to buy, sex and beauty tips, 10 steps to a healthier colon and so on. It becomes this horrible feedback loop where people are sent out of our schools in a state of complete ignorance of the rest of the world and then, maybe because they're embarrassed, clamor for even less information on something they know almost nothing about." Orville Schell, dean of the journalism school at the University of California at Berkeley, says that while "Americans are ever more involved in the world and ever less knowledgeable about it," it's the bosses at U.S. media companies who deserve the blame. "The broadcast media has decided to cut back on foreign news coverage in its infinitely craven efforts to pander to the largest and the lowest common denominator. This last week we've seen what the broadcast media is capable of when they're let out of the constraints of ratings and the bottom line mentality. I'm hearing journalists saying 'Wow, this past two weeks we felt dignified again. We're able to do what we want to do and know how to do. We had the time and the resources and the suits were off our backs."" More http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Am..._Ignorant.html 37% of Americans can't find America on a map of America |

i feel like its pretty much balanced, because Fox News is unabashedly right to a ridiculous degree, but only because theyre a one-off and pretty much the only place to go on tv if thats what you want to watch. all the left leaning outlets are far more subversive about their politics, but there are a SHITLOAD of them to choose from. |
Left leaning is one thing, totally off the hook right wing pocket pal is another.
I should note that I recently got rid of my cable tv anyway. Too much money for too little content. |
