sponsors and test sign up's

I know that ARS allows their webmaster to make test sign up's.
But what about other sponsors? Can I make a test sign up, and if it goes through, email the sponsor so that they remove my commission for that sign up? Or is it to unusual?

where did you read that ARS allows test signups?

GregP 02-09-2003 06:56 AM

check out http://www.sexpromote.com , we will let you do test signup as long as you let us know.

Some programs have some very fishy terms when it comes to that, like you have to let them know BEFORE you do a test sign up that you're doing one.
Another program's TOS says you're not allowed to do them at all, if you have questions about your linking codes please contact us.

Read the TOS carefully, they usually mention it somewhere in there

Please feel free to do test signups to my program moneypile.com although I recommend that you do at least 100 signups/day for 30 days to be sure everything works right.. anything less could not really be considered a valid test..

:thumbsup

But it is sort of like telling your girlfriend "Honey, tomorrow I'm going to have someone follow you around all day to see if you're cheating on me"

FreeNetPass Dave 02-09-2003 09:51 AM

You can do it on any of our programs.

Make sure you email before pay day on FNP, since it is against the policy to join on your own account (and not tell us about it).

If anyone wants to do a test signup on my sites, through their own account, go ahead. You can even keep your commission. (The wonders of revshare... Pretty damn hard for anyone to cheat.)

lol

every once in a while tell the sponsor you're planning to do a test sign up, then they turn off the shaver and you make some good coin :thumbsup

Yea the whole test signup to your sponsor thing is pretty crappy usually.

If I am going to try a new sponsor I of course want to look at the content of the site. While I'm testing the site it's obvious I want to test the affiliate program at the same time. You definately shouldn't be booted for trying it but that isn't always so. I won't push anyone that doesn't want me to test their system.
