about an hour ago i had a knock on my door, it was one of my guards and this 20-30 something italian guy speaking broken english. i could barely make out what the guy was saying until he said something about "toticos" (my paysite). he said he bought a membership while in italy and recognized the gated community i live in because he has a vacation home here... and i often shoot outdoors on the balcony and whatnot kinda giving away the location with the mountains and shit in the background. anyhow he says he is a fan and wants to work for me yadayada like the typical member emails. but it surprised me, i rarely get recognized in public let alone a small place like here

probably the community "guard" whos job is to open/close the road barrier

everywhere in the dr has armed guards. corner stores, banks, restaurants, grocery stores... there is at least 5 of them working my community at any given time. occasionally they catch a ladron or two but are more of a visual deterrent than anything. they dont let any guests in unless you meet them at the gate and they leave their ID at the gate... and they cant leave without you accompanying them. anyhow none of this helps with gringoes because they figure that all english speaking people know each other, and in my case the dude lives here inside the compound with moms/pops. he's got a room in their place which he eagerly showed me, but not his own spot
