Bitter taste with the traffic, we need some help!

Hello dear friends from GoFuckyourself:
We are still very fresh and new in this business to be honest and the traffic behavior wasn't like we expected:

We opened our first website around 1 month ago (pornoreaver) and we start daily updating mostly with amateur / homemade pictures.
After some days updating and enough content in our website we decided to start some traffic campaigns with Plugrush.com, created an user and started 2 different campaigns:
  • Blind Traffic from Germany
  • Blind Traffic from USA and UK.

We used only $20 dollars because our goal was to learn how the traffic was working before investing more money.
As you can see here: img715.imageshack.us/img715/9592/001bw.png
Everything worked as expected until the traffic stop coming, we didn't expect to make any profit or recover the money invested in advertisement either.

But we expected that some users would come back after ending the plugrush campaign. There was a little bit more than 3,000 visits from both campaings during 5 days:

As you can see here: img829.imageshack.us/img829/2204/002dg.png
And here: img525.imageshack.us/img525/298/003ae.png

So the situation is that after the campaigns ended, the traffic went down again to virtually zero. Instead of that, we were expecting some users to return into the site, and repeat this process until many users would come back daily without the need of the external advertisement.
I'm not sure if there's another way to get started to be honest...

As you can see here: img11.imageshack.us/img11/9476/004af.png

Therefore, at this moment we are not really sure what to do, it seems like we were wrong about how the traffic works. Shall we opt for Plug traffic instead of Blind traffic?
Any idea or recommendation will be taken and seriously appreciated.

We wouldn't mind to provide access to the google analytics account or plugrush to anyone with some experience either if you want more details.

Thanks a lot!

Blind traffic is probably one of the worst types of traffic you can purchase for a website to actually grow it and get return users. There are a LOT of variables in this though, such as your website layout, for example, is a huge factor. Personally if I was trying to grow a website I would not purchase blind traffic, I would have gone with Plug Traffic because it's the user clicking on the thumbnail because they like what they see...With blind traffic, they are clicking on a random generated thumbnail and subject/title and when landing on your site, more than likely they are getting something totally different.

When you create a campaign for "Plug" traffic, you can choose to receive traffic from ONLY amateur related websites like yours, thus making the traffic that much more targeted. I would also monitor the traffic more closely in Google Analytics, spread the traffic out as much as you can per hour for as long as you can, then use Analytics to see what sites are sending you traffic that returns like you want, and block the sites that aren't inside of Plugrush. It's a decent amount of work but it's worth it.

Please contact me on Skype or ICQ. I can help you setup a custome campaign then run a small test for you as well. If your at the Phoenix Forum we could meetup as well.

Thanks for the quick replies!

@ Plugrush:

We were thinking almost the same, I believe I will try again using plug traffic instead of Blind, and keep an eye on the analytics results in order to improve the results as much as possible.

Just to be sure, when you say "spread the traffic out as much as you can per hour for as long as you can", you are suggesting to set a very low maximum traffic per hour so it would last longer?

@ MattPIVO:

Thanks a lot, I will add you at Skype! Unfortunately, I'm not at the Phoenix Forum, we're just starting on this business!

If anyone have any other suggestion, or would like to help us, it's more than welcome!

Forget bought traffic at your stage of business, just concentrate on building your search engine traffic.

Yes, so you can see how the traffic looks in analytics and analyze the websites sending you traffic so you can remove those that don't do so well.

Oh, alright, makes sense, thanks, I'll try again following your advise, using plug traffic and analyzing the traffic as much as possible to grab the best ones! Thanks again!

Skim traffic is he lowest of the low traffic wise(price reflects that) if you are trying to get traffic focus on sites with the same niche. random sites will give you random results.

If you need any help let m e know

Your problem might also be that Google is presenting a warning about your site -This site may harm your computer.- This can damage you .

Stick to "plug" traffic at Plug Rush

few others that sell actual "clicked" traffic...

Traffic-Out
Juicy Ads
Buy FPC Traffic

install analytics, run your campaigns for a month, log in to each traffic source and then block all the 0.00 second visitors with 100% bounce rates. Blind/Skim/Popunder traffic can work but takes quite a bit of monitoring/blocking to grab the best. Quality is usually the highest on actual clicked traffic (reason it's priced higher as more targeted) so less blocking needed.

Google certainly has a page attack sign when your URL is typed.

Blog traffic helps a bit too, running your own or just commenting on others just have some meat in your comments so they do not get deleted.
