1TB in bandwidth a month? 10mbps unmetered is 3.2TB a month, and you can find that for way under 300 bucks a month.

you could prob get a 50mbps server for 300$ a month which is 16tb

I would think you could pay to have a 1TB drive installed on a lower priced plan as a 1 time fee.. you just need to ask....

Thank you do much for the advice and urls everyone! Depending on... I might have Beaner hook me up with hosting and going to that "next level" as far as advertising. I really feel that I offer a good product and that if I could just get my foot in the door, as far as some good traffic, that I would be on my way.

I think all of DWHS servers are 1tb but you would only use about 450 gb, the rest is backup and config stuff.

What do you mean by managed? They monitor my server and help if I'm ever stuck.

yup, that is what i am looking for, a company to manage the server for me on a day to day basis. For example, GoDaddy charges 100 bucks a month above and beyond their hosting to do this. To backup my wordpress databases and move it over, etc. Deal with any server vunerabilities, make sure everything is working fine, IP's are resolving correctly, etc. Basically shit that I have no idea about... I shoot models and design, basically.

I think you can get 100mbs for $300ish now days..

maybe Mutt, if my content on my network is 700GB for instance, I would want a 1TB server so i would have an extra 300gb to grow. Scalable to 2tb for longterm growth, should I ever need that extra storage...

Then do you mean storage.. Might be better to say a server with 1 TB storage than saying a 1TB server because most people think bandwidth when you say it that way.

And like I said earlier, if the company is any good, they would most likely allow you to upgrade the server for a 1 time fee to put in a 1TB drive (but obviously expect to pay double as you will most likely want a backup drive).

oh - then i was mistaken - you did mean storage - hard drives are cheap, if you start with a 1TB hard drive and need more storage down the road all your host will do is add another 1TB hard drive and charge you a one time fee.

roughly 320 gigs for each mbps, so roughly 32tb

I would also take a normal plan and just pay a one time fee for the bigger 1TB disk.

I had Amerinoc slap an extra 500GB HD in my managed server when I needed it for a one time fee (can't remember if it was $50, $100 ot $150 though).

Storage is cheap as fuck these days and should be a one-time fee.

There is no reason to be paying for storage on a monthly basis.

I would steer clear from reliable. They suck IMO

I have 3 dedicated servers and 5 virtual accounts with them.

I've used them for at least 12 years (out of our 17+/- doing this shit.. along with multiple other companies).

The only time I had an issue with them was when they eliminated phone support.. the transition to the live chat support with ICQ in the middle of the switch along with long delays on trouble tickets kinda irked me.. but that was maybe 1 year out of 12. Maybe that's when ya had an issue with them?

I also did use their programmers for one custom script on about 60 sites, that did take forever to complete.. but as far as hosting, other than that year or so after they killed phone support I have had no issues with their service.

As far as their level of service, I have had multiple issues just in the past year or two (DDoS attacks, virus's from that hole in Comus thumbs, and a bunch of other issues) and every time I jump on their live support, the problem is handled immediately.

That's why I have switched 85% of my stuff over to them.

Actually, it isn't cheap at the moment. HDDs are in somewhat short supply due to flooding of the region where all the factories are. It will still be a while before they are back up to speed, supply wise.
