I originally came from a shitty part of Tampa so it was a very nice change when we moved here when I was a kid. Now that I am older its just too slow and the jobs in my field are bad, mostly one or two man shows. Good place to grow up or die in but not for job hunting at the moment. Congrats on your escape lol.

From Baltimore suburbs, spent many years in DC suburbs (really comes down to which side of Baltimore you live on since its 40 minutes from DC). Lived in Virginia Beach for a year in the first grade, back when it was safe.

Now in Fort Lauderdale for a year next month. No plans to move elsewhere.

And your second sentence is the reason I didn't move there.

After I moved to Cape, there were some really bad projects in this area (Rembrandt Gardens) that got demolished. Cops barely came by before then. I think it has gotten much better after they shut down that complex.

I live just North of Sacramento, California. I love it here. No smog, no crime, decent weather, no traffic. We had a murder here last year; It stunned the entire community. First shooting since I lived here. The weather is great - Cold in the winter but no snow, hot in the summer but not humid or dry. I'm just over an hour from Tahoe, San Fran, and Reno.

2pm and it's a cool seventy degrees outside.
