Any other hardcore fans of the band AC/DC here? Step inside
Which do you like better?
AC/DC with BON SCOTT AC/DC with BRIAN JOHNSON |
The fact switching and having Brian continue to not only keep them alive but keep pushing forward successfully over the years is an amazing feat, nothing against Bon Scott but Brian IS AC/DC
|
They were great when I was in the 8th grade -- but my tastes have changed.
I saw the For Those About to Rock tour at the Philly Spectrum. It was awesome. They were my favorite band, and I mean intensely. Probably the first real rock band I ever got into when I was a kid. I liked Triumph, Boston, Queensryche and ELO -- but AC'DC was my jam. |

gotta go with Bon Scott... one of the best rock front men that ever lived...
|
AC/Dc is my all time favorite band. They are the only band that I know of that has had 2 lead singers and has been able to keep the same basic fantastic sound, in my opinion. I love Brian Johnson but Bon Scott was the original. Angus is still the man.

Both are fantastic, however Bon Scott was a true legend!
This is my all time favourite film clip from AC/DC - Bon Scott :thumbsup EDIT : Also Angus Young is a genius and absolutely makes the band what it is. |
Bon Scott is the stuff of legends. Brian Johnson is the guy who against all odds stepped in and continued building the band's amazing brand. The album Back In Black hit the rock universe like an ICBM.
Both guys are top dawgs in my book. I've kind of outgrown AC/DC over the years but the impact they had on my teen years and through my early 20's will never be forgotten. |

Bon Scott put the balls on AC/DC
and of course AC/DC put balls on Bon Scott as well... :1orglaugh |
I love AC./DC.
To me they are modern extensions of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Led Zeppelin - not Heavy Metal or whatever... but a straight-up kick-ass blues band... That said, as an aside, in Montreal we had an AC/DC cover band once at a Halloween Church basement party called "Great Wall Of Angus" - which featured the band plus as many Angus Young wannabes as could fit on stage... I think we had 30 or forty Angus's that night, and it was ... well, you can imagine. They probably never let the band back again, in any of the sections of the city they could be heard that night. To prove my point about the blues: |

My 7 year old's favorite band is AC/DC. He plays a mean air guitar.
|
I saw them in 1985 in Germany in a big arena in Frankfurt then the very next week I saw then in a tiny school gym type place. Front row at both and they were AWESOME! & Loud... :)
|
AC/DC is one of the great rock bands of all time. They strip the music down to it's essence and then just crank it the fuck up...they still rock live! :thumbsup
I still get goosebumps hearing the first notes of many of their songs: Recorded 10 days before Bon Scott died: RIP Bon Scott... http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/o...rtualLight.gif ADG |
You gotta give Brian credit...he was the bands limo driver and he filled some mighty big shoes. Both these guys have a place in rock n roll history
|
Amazing band that transcends time. Bon gets My vote as well.
