This is the pear tree in full bloom in my back garden.

No, there really are tonnes - Plenty to share with the birds. The squirrels love them as well. They eat the rotting ones and then fall out of the tree because they are so pissed.

We throw away mountains of them - We say every year we will turn them into some sort of booze - Never happened though.

It's funny we pay for food when it adjacently rots on the whole floor.

I always think that when I see them rotting all over the garden - We save what can and usually poach them in red wine and then freeze.

John's son actualy has an 'organic' fruit and veg delivery biz set up. He sends out 100's of boxes every day.

He cant use them because he has to have certificates for everything he sells and prove that they are organic.

saw the pic and instantly knew it was in the UK due to the crappy buildings. Everything looks worn out and shitty in the UK, why is that?

History.....

For example those apartments in the back of that pic were built as social housing in the 50/60's.

Some still are are but lots are privatly owned and are worth 1/4 mil pounds, thats US$350k+.

Back in the 50s and 60s they threw up some dreadful high rise stuff so that they could house everybody. Now we cant get rid of it becuse it has too much value.

I am not some Union Jack waving Brit - The place is a shit hole...

I light up trees like everyday is Christmas.
