So who's going to carry the 100 packs they take on missions? They really have packs that heavy. Not every man's job can be done by a woman.

I know a couple of firefighters tired of taking up the slack of females in their squad. Not sexist, just the truth.

The SAS is involved in all types of scenarios not just running around in the desert with heavy gear.

I'm sure women will come in handy, especially in covert missions and hostage situations.

A close friend of the family has been on active service with the elite forces of both the UK and US army. his role is as a sniper. He has been on the SAS training course. Any woman that gets through that is welcome to be in the SAS.

It's more than carrying heavy loads. It's about killing people, assassins, taking on missions that the normally trained Paratroop, Marine and Guard regiments can't handle. Anyone who has been on these training course has gone through the 100 pound pack courses, often trudging across very inhospitable places.

The SAS is so much more.



Most of the terrorists bodies were found shot and in the basement. Executed or taken there after killed. Figure it out for yourself. The only terrorists to get out were mistaken for hostages and to late to be dealt with.

The 100 pound packs is the easy part.

Those chicks could probably beat the ass of every male posting in this thread, as well as out shoot and out perform most physical exercises.

Do they, like the US military, have different standards for men and women? If someone can pass the course and tests and get the job done, great. I couldn't. If they are for example, having women run the physical tests with less than a full load of gear, fuck that. SAS and other special forces is about getting the job done, sometimes when thousands of lives are.at stake. It's not the place to make a political statement with affirmative action.

The SRR aka the 14 int have been recruiting women for a long time, no new news here

SEAL = Swims in ice water with their hands and feet bound, after three days without sleep, and doesn't bitch about it.

The people who get onto the SAS training courses are not new recruits, they don't ask them "Would you like to go into the Catering Corp or the SAS?" They are fully trained, battle experienced soldiers who are deemed suitable for the training course. Some of the replies in this thread label the posters as dumb. Starting with the OP.
