Mac Pro to imac ?

Is there any way to use the screen on my imac while working on my mac pro? Probably a dumb question but I just don't know.

(not talking about mac book but the mac pro) ..... Thanks for any help.

Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt cable with a 27 inch iMac, but Mac Pros don't have Thunderbolt...

The closest thing I can think of is putting the Mac Pro in target mode, but then you'd be working on the iMac with the Mac Pro as a glorified external drive. :upsidedow

You can only if you have a the late 2009 model 27" iMac with the display port input/output. Plus, your MacPro has to have a display port output.

The new thunderbolt iMacs will not work.

Thanks, looks like my stuff is a little to old to do it correctly if at all.

edit, I have the smaller imac so it appears noting is going to work.

VNC without the hassles.
