This is beta right now but working nice -- I'll have some details as they become available.

One problem is the viewers bandwidth capabilities in receiving the bit rate we could send.

Yes, I have that resolution. I am not sure of the FPS I received.

It's not so much the # of pixels you are sending, but the bitrate. If you're sending 1080 lines but its compressed to much, it will look terrible, plus have to deal with increased tech support of people who can't receive it, and or deal with people who can't fit that video onto their smaller screens (lots of people use laptops with less than 800 lines).

You might be better off streaming at a smaller screen size but higher bitrate. This way it will fit all screens, and will still look good when the user goes to full screen.

The HD Broadcasting is a setting in splitcam now but if you split up your broadcast upload bandwidth you my have problems -- a direct connection is preferred.

These cams will work as HD but at over a 720p the frame rate will slow

There are camcorders and newer video capture cards available also.
H.264 video compression*

at 720p the output is 30 FPS to 60 FPS

Realistically, 1080p is limited because of Internet bandwidth constraints of consumers. You would need 10 Mbs or more to upload at that rate.

As consumer bandwidth increases our current broadcaster API will accommodate 1080p.

We use 640x480, since if we try more (and it is easy to do - just matter to change the number in flash cam function), the model's pc go 99% of cpu usage then fps reduces too - using H264 (not sorensen h263 the old default). Other reason why we don't try more, is that we see some model with 320x240 (due to their pc's soft limitation or setting) is doing like 10 times the money who have 640x480, so we wondered who does care so much.

1080p sounds like a good enough resolution. Live streaming HD webcams are a profitable idea. A lot of the web cams nowadays have a slow frame rate. They need to speed them up with smoother videos.
