and now COMCAST!

2 days of staying home and waiting for someone to show up and install service. 2nd day to be blown off WITH NO CALL!

Now I am being told 2 hours after my appointment window that they do not want to run a wire from my neighbor to me without me paying "cost" for labor and wire. Asked what that is 2-1/2 hours ago and no return call!

Now on the phone again for 26 minutes on hold.

Wonder why this country is failing and people are losing jobs?

I don't know too many companies that work for free. I have to ask, why would Comcast run a cable between two users?

The cable stops at the neighbor beneath me. The telephone lines and power lines all run up the same poles and past them to me and past me up the road.

Just got the price. Beside the cost of installation (understandable from the street to my house) they want me to pay $6.71 per foot for the entire run (9 light poles worth).

That's fucked. Comcast has run complete new lines for me in multiple residences over the years. They never charged me a dime for any of it. If I'm going to be a customer of theirs, they need to feed the line to me.

It took some adjusting, but I'm now just on antenna. Nice full HD for zero dollars a month. Sure it's only 12 channels or so, but screw it. You can only watch 1 at a time, and the internet has much of the rest anyway.

I have every channel on Directv and an antenna for local channels. I move my DVR from from one house to the next or in my camper. What I need at this house is high speed...presently I am using a cellular card which sucks monkey balls and cost 2 times what cable does.

Aaron - I know they are fucking me. The bitch is they expect me to pay for the work and then they will sell cable to everyone past me. BS.

I am going to see what county commissioner I can harass to get this taken care of. I am well know in the area for my mainstream work and free marketing and web work I do for charities around here.

What pisses me off is if you are going to ream me so be it. The problem, is they keep BSing me and say that they will do it and in fact they had no intentions to.

I lover Verizon. In Phoenix some of my "friends" (no names mentioned) didn't have service in restaurants. I was a bit surprised. I've never not had service.

Best Buy? Never had a problem with them either.
