Webair support
Quick rant here, but Webair's support seems to be a lot worse than it use to be.. I needed FFMPEG & Libreoffice installing on my box. I created a ticket on Saturday, March 17th 2012. The same day, I receive a reply with the following:
Quote:
On Sunday, April 1st 2012, more than a week later after the work order was created, a technician finally gets assigned to my work order. Errrr, okay.. YIKES?!?!?! After a week of no other updates, besides that a technician was assigned to my issue, I ask what the dealio is (Sunday, April 8th 2012 03:09:39 PM). 2 days later, I get a W.O. reply that they are still working on this. The same day, they inform me that my files have been transferred to the new server with recompiled OS. I test everything and my sites seem to be working - but I still don't have SSH info, so can't test FFMPEG/Libreoffice, unless I quickly program something. Today I get informed that all sites have been transferred and that new server has essentially gone live. FFMPEG works, finally, Libreoffice - well, doesn't even seem to be installed - can't call it via command line as you should at least. And now, all my sites are running under the same IP address. Suddenly, I only have 3 IP's available, compared to my previous 27. My HD capacity also seems to have shrunk by 20GB. So, after waiting almost 4 weeks, I have a server that now also runs FFMPEG.. :helpme Mike and Gerard are 2 awesome people that I really enjoyed meeting a few years back in Amsterdam - had an awesome time and nice dinner with them. Such a shame though where their business is heading. Sure, I only have 1 server with them at the moment.. But I'm not really motivated on ordering any more servers from them in the future with support being, simply said, shit. :2 cents: |
welcome to webair !

lol, anyone can recommend EU host with support quality & speed of nationalnet? i'm hunting for something because im not quite happy with current support speed of one host for tasks like add domain, install php module (taking more than 2 hours).

Webair and support are two words that shouldn't be used in the same sentence. With the only exception of putting "lack of" between them.

hostgator # 1

I really don't see an issue here. Sometimes issues like this take time. They might not have been familiar with installing libreoffice.
Tell them all the issues and I'm sure they'll sort it out. |
Nevermind. I just noticed the timeframe. :)

They installed it on one of my clients machine a couple years ago then upgraded it last year with no issues. (server uses Elevated X) |
i heard they favor their customers who also keep their domains with them. i think you would get better results if you transfer your domain portfolio over.

Weird, both libreoffice and ffmpeg should not take more then 5 minutes to install and run.Atleast that is in my experience.

I never have a problem with them. Until I contact support ............
Some of the support staff it seems, also like to troll the boards. It's easy to fuck with your head when you know all your domains... what you're doing.... who you're promoting ... or was that namecheap faggots ? Anyway ... just speculation. Enjoy, and a hearty fuck your mother to all my friends :) Other than that. I've been using Namecheap and Webair for quite some time. I'm very happy with the cord webair plugs into my server. I like Namecheap(i know this thread has nothing to do with them and all the bros that stroke each other off ) and think they have excellent support. I guess there is always a bad apple somewhere. If you depend on someone else for your support ..... u suck. :1orglaugh Thank you for your time. Webair is very good. Namecheap is awesome. |
I use the live support, never an issue

Webair has kept my sites up over the years , consistently ....( why I'm still there. ( they also do have a great staff if you do run into any major problems) if there was a problem .... it was painful to communicate with them but that's everywhere .... if you say you're hosting company or ISP doesn't have it's problems you're full of complete fucking bullshit If you're on shared hosting complaining about your shit script nobody ever heard of fuck off :1orglaugh 4 weeks ? Why isn't this guy somewhere else ? |

I can't believe that people don't just go with AmeriNoc, their service is top notch and their prices are very competitive. Never ever had a problem with them that weren't fixed fast and to the letter.
Even when I was the total moron that didn't know shit, they fixed it for me with no fuss. I continue to be amazed at their very high level of support. :2 cents: |
