Would you be interested hosted Piwik solution?

A friend of mine is planning on offering a hosted analytics solution based on Piwik (heavily modded)....

I said I would ask on here and see what you guys would need.

The version I have seen is pretty cool - It also grabs your server logs and does all sorts of comparisons and combines the data.

What does it do that the free, and not going anywhere google analytics doesn't do?

Analyses server logs for one with data integration. Urchin was fully retired earlier this month.

It looks nicer as well :).....

I've used Piwik so that google won't have access to the data. But if it's remotely hosted then naturally someone would in this case.

One thing that occurred to me was that if you are one of those really paranoid SEO people then hosting Piwik yourself is not a good idea - Assuming you use a central install.

It would be better to use a hosted 'service'.

I never used google analytics because i also dont want to give that data google, but considering my google traffic went to shitter anyway, and some seo people claim how it could be useful,i think i will apply it on my main site for start. Also my theory would be how google cannot have complete picture about bounce rate on site so with deploying analytics i might alter that perception and get my traffic back.
