It's not really a hologram, they project a 2d image which rendered to appear 3d onto an angular clear mylar sheet. Travelling circuses and carnivals used to use precisely this technique to produce ghost like images as far back as 100 years ago, the only difference is the projection technology is better.

They've been doing "hologram" stuff like this in Japan for a while.

Why not make a hologram of something worthwhile, like Elvis Presley or Jimi Hendrix? Waste of technology to have some idiot yelling "yo, yo, what's up what's up yall".
