Is NameCheap, despite itself being ICANN accredited, still running domain registrations / transfers through eNom?
Many NameCheap customers don't realize their domains are often held by eNom, and thus are ultimately are governed by eNom's policies... Some NameCheap customers have been burnt when eNom deactivated their domains by putting them on Client-Hold (NameCheap can't change such a status; only eNom can). NameCheap itself is a good registrar, but their use of eNom puts many customers at risk of serious problems. |
