Never said I was tough. I worked as a bouncer doesnt make me tough. In fact I rarely had to go to blows. It was better to defuse situations. Yep there is a picture with some blood. We still dont know who started it, he was following the kid the kid was scared.George had a history of violence. But if more comes out in trial and I was wrong I have no problem saying I was. How about you?

I do not see any questions or even a question mark in your post. Thats what usually identifies questions.

yet my question was directed at picture of Z head. And no , the question was not if there was a fight or not. What is that thing on back of his head looks like to you? Weren't you the one talking about not seeing any cuts and how fast the guy heals. So one more time, what do you see on Zimermans head? To be specific on the back of his head!

Tom_PM 04-20-2012 10:07 AM

Look it may well be that he was getting his head bashed into the concrete. The prosecutor obviously had seen that photo plus ALL other evidence and brought murder 2 charges. She must think she can make it stick or she wouldnt have gone for it. She could also be wasting everyones time by over-charging in the case, JUST like they did with Casey Anthony. In other words, he could go to jail because he did it, he could go to jail and not deserve to, he could go free and deserve to be free, he could go free and deserve conviction. Thats the way the shit works. The entire uproar about this was that he was never charged! The cops and old prosecutor just blew it off and decided on their own that it didn't even rise to the level of needing fiurther investigation. You can't do that shit when someone is dead and 100 questions aren't answered.

CyberHustler 04-20-2012 10:20 AM

That's what your head tends to look like when you force a person who can fight better than you to stand their ground... once you've reached "head-stomped-on-ground" level, it's time to shoot one if you got one. http://thehoodup.com/board/images/smilies/drama.gif

I think the Prosecutor would still go for it. I don't think anyone at this point wants to be the person to make a decision that puts the nail in the coffin for either side. Its most likely in everyone's best interest to let it go to trial, weigh the evidence and let a Judge or jury sort it out. Which is why I think they are trying to go for Murder 2nd Degree, might not be able to make it stick, but says to one side we take it seriously, and says to the other side, don't worry, the burden of proof is a lot stiffer, and they probably wont be able to make it.

Yeah, right.

WarChild 04-20-2012 11:13 AM

It's still possible a Jury will never hear this. I think there will be a hearing around the stand your ground laws first and it may well just end there.

Zimmerman also had a history of calling the police. What was is some 45 times or something? How many times did he assault or shoot somebody in those previous 40+ calls?

I wouldnt know and can only guess what motivated her to bring the murder 2 charges. Maybe (she thinks) it was "profiling" as has been argued a lot. Or maybe she's just over charging and it'll be thrown out sooner or later. She definitely could have charged manslaughter and made it easier on herself.

Well the question would be how many times was he face to face with one of the people he was calling about? I think the kid was his first.

It would of made much more of a mess. Its a cannon ball with a handle. lol

Tony was just one of those who blindly believe whatever the talking heads on the news tell him. Hopefully he's beginning to see how wrong he was.

kane 04-20-2012 12:08 PM

We have to assume one of two things happened. At the end of the 911 call Zimmerman says he was pursing Trayvon the dispatcher tells him that they don't need him to do that. It sounds like Zimmerman is then going to go meet the police.

Clearly that didn't happen.

So either:

1. After Zimmerman hung up he continued to pursue Trayvon. They ended up in a fight and he shot the kid.

or.

2. Zimmerman went back to his car and was minding his own business and Trayvon came back and attacked him.

Assuming it was #1 it is going to be hard for him to say it was self defense when he pressed the issue. You can't start a fight with someone, then start to lose the fight and kill them and say it was self defense. Zimmerman inserted himself into the situation and he ended up killing an unarmed guy. That is going to be tough to overcome.

Had he just got back in his car and waited for the police none of this would have happened.

Sheep tend to follow the shepard.

WarChild 04-20-2012 12:29 PM

All of this legal mess could have all been avoided if Zimmerman had just remembered to shout "It's coming right for us!".

I have heard multiple attorneys state that under Florida law...that one can indeed instigate a fight/initiate a fight and kill the person and claim self defense...if at any point during the fight one becomes afraid he may be seriously injured or may lose his life...and they have also stated that this is applicable to most states that have a version of a "stand your ground" law.

Juries often do whatever it is they choose to do irregardless of what the law is.

I think the last line in your post sums it up very well. It doesn't really matter what the law says or implies. It is clearly an ambiguous law that is open to interpretation. In the end it will all come down to whether they believe Zimmerman had good intentions and was trying to do the right thing and things went bad or whether he saw the kid and decided he was going to take matters into his own hands no matter what and was negligent.
