What did you do with your thunderball trades?

I must have had many trades going on across a bunch of properties on thunder-ball.net. Now I'm not sure what I should do? What's the protocol for something like this taking place? Do I remove the links and start over? Do I keep them and assume others will do the same? Hard decision to make. Any thoughts? I'm using linkspun now thankfully.

I have no idea but I hope everything is ok and things continue to go ok over there.

Vrocks is running linkspun now, seems to be working fine and steady - http://www.linkspun.com/profile.php?profileID=707 if ya wanna do some trading hehe

For TB trades ... unless you have them exported/monitored elsewhere ... theres only really one thing you can do, hit up those webmasters you got contacts for & see if they wanna continue the trades (could always throw em in linkspun)...the rest will have to go.

I would love to assume that everyone is honest and will keep links up etc but I just don't think they will. :( I'm going to keep all mine up until I try and contact the owners at least. This is why its always good to have contact info etc to ppl and details for these trades in a local pace.

I suggest don't remove the links. Many people have invested in this for many years. The hard links should be kept unless it is completely necessary for some reason to remove them.

This is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to just go on with everything and leave everything a is. It's not fair to me or to other webmasters for the work we put in to build it all. Good call. Thanks!

I always had them in my own tracker (Excel script)... Actually a few weeks ago I ran the checker for the first time in like 4 years and 80% had dropped. So I dropped my end too. All the old style linking is pretty pointless anyway so removing them is just cleaning my pages. Particularly true in mainstream-travel.

Any way you can give some guidance on how to get a checker going like that?

Good call hony!

Thunder dropped the ball.

Whenever I see a link that I haven't sold, I know it was traded via thunderball and seeing how it's gone - I have to drop the link as I have no idea what was supposed to link back or to where.

DarkJedi 04-23-2012 02:35 AM

did jdough ever show up?

redwhiteandblue 04-23-2012 03:41 AM

Don't assume that your link partners don't check their links even without TB doing it for them.

HowlingWulf 04-23-2012 07:19 AM

I used Thunderball just to find trades. I use Links Organizer to keep track of trades so Thunderball going away didn't affect that at all. No reason to drop webmasters links just because of Thunderball.

CyberHustler 04-23-2012 07:24 AM

Keep the links. A deal is a deal.
