Panda V2 - Will you be affected?
 

Although it hasn't got a cool name, Google are calling it the ?webspam algorithm update?, it seems to be a pretty major upgrade to the Panda algorithm changes.

I never get a negative affect from panda updates, yes traffic is screwed up for a short amount of time but i always see a rise at the end.

panda updates have only benefited me...this one should help too.

Panda ruined my life. Maybe this time it will end it.

Panda hit me hard also but that was when I was building blackhat-sites, made me focus more on my WH-sites and in the long run, it's a good thing.

On my highest traffic blog, Panda brings me up on one update then way down the next update. These updates seem to come every 4-6 weeks since Panda started a little over a year ago.

This is a hand written blog with 200+ word posts, updated several days per week since 2008. I will get over 2,000 per day from Google on the up times, then down to around 500 on the down times. Just can't figure out why it is so volitile on this one site. My smaller blogs fluctuate a bit but stay pretty consistent.

Anyone else have any blogs that go up on one Panda update, then down on the next in a cycle like mine?

Standard seo guidelines just doesn't work for adult so who knows

The sites from my network, adult and mainstream, that get the most visits from google( by a huge difference ) are the ones that have no search engine optimization at all.

I really believe no optimization is better than anything else.

Is there a way to merge all sites using google analytics under one GA account? this would help watch and analyse complete network and not just one site.

Strange thing with this update. Traffic for a shitty site i own went from 100/UV to 1000/UV in 1 day. WTF??? Now shitty sites rules google????? Indeed keywords were with lot of daily searches..but still...10 times more in 1 day????

I ignore all so called guidelines. I simply build more sites and networks in such a way that it looks normal.

age of backlinks to your domain, age of your domain, a low bounce rate, number of inner page links are the big 4, then worry about seo'ing your website to tweak your rank.

Telling people what is coming up next on your website will give them a COMPELLING reason to return... aka "bookmark" your website. Be sure to talk about what's... "coming up next!" "Tommorow's Update!" , "next week!" , "next month?" all good words to use ;)

One of my newer site projects took a complete dump yesterday but just started coming back a few hours ago.

A few months back for shits and giggles I did try a fiverr.com blog comment spam package. I was curious if it would kill the site, improve it or do nothing. I was totally prepared for it to kill the site.

My guess is that the web spam did hurt my site but google probably did some sort of revert back while they tweak things a bit more before re-apply the rules.

So if google does keep things as is it means that for $5 you can kill any competitors site.

panda killed me last year... but a few months of big work and i got back to pre-panda levels plus 50%... so it forced me to stop being lazy and build better sites. This update hit some of my sites pretty hard, but others got rewarded... worked out to be about a wash, and hopefully in another couple of weeks i will see benefit from the recent update

I had one of my static sites cloned completely by some black hat genius, xrumer'd and then show up in the exact position my site had previously maintained on page one of Google. So, that was nice.

Dealing with Google DMCA for whole site rip is a bitch, they will kill an image or article URL quickly but not so much for a whole domain.

+30% more traffic from yesterday :thumbsup

some are up and some are down for me... still need to better understand what I did right and what I did wrong.... :thumbsup :thumbsup

hate these things. everytime I reach my goal, google comes with an update and fucks me off to the ground.

This time lost all cam keywords for my main site, traffic dropped 50%. Hope it is just short dancing...

Iv'e been fighting this useless battle for 6 weeks and there is no recovery in site. Some of it probably is lack of update and good content but why chop off my nuts. Iv'e done everything from deoptimizing, to changing servers, adding content, yes I panicked.
