welcome to last week!

Noooooo Hell no!!..
That's straight from CNN.. That shuttle airplane thing is a quick ass sumbitch... |

It's a great fuck up that is for sure.
|
if they were traveling at 18 times the speed of light - they would actually go back in time

I think the theory is that if you travel 5 years at the speed of light... you'll only age 3 years.... No back in time involve here! |
It was going at Lightspeed!!!!
Um, this is old news people - Wasn't this posted on GFY last week? |

it like time has its own speed - and 18 x Speed of Light is faster, so you kinda go into the future.
i know it souds weird but thats what they say on Sci-Trek etc. |

Sorry it wasnt going at light speed...
The space shuttle runs between 17,000-22,000 mph which is a hell of a shot off of 186,000 MILES PER SECOND to reach light speed. |
as you approach the speed of light, 'time' slows down relative to those moving slower than you.
the twin paradox |
the one on the right looks like an SNL character :1orglaugh

Thanks Lensman, i'm good though. I don't need a super banner on posts to leave my mark :)

you know like in cartoons - they invent some shit that makes you move faster than light, and when someone is using in, it appears that everything i sstanding still - and that person can move really fast between these standing people and make al lot of things(like rob a bank), while they just stand there. time is frozen for him.

Here I found this dont ask me how it works.
Einstein once said "The relativistic analogy can be carried to its logical end. Since time begins to slow down with higher speeds,it can be shown that at the speed of light it stops totally and beyond that begins to run backwards! Similarly, matter having contracted more and more, ultimately vanishes. But Beyond the speed of light it is difficult to imagine negative matter with infinite mass. |
|
proof of Einstein's theory as it pertains to the relativism of time, via atomic clock experiments:

you know what a black hole is ? its when a star explodes, it creates so much pressure that it actually doesnt expand in a huge fireball - it makes itself contract because of all the pressue, It contracts to a tiny point, and then it folds on itself sending all the star mass into some other dimention, and then it starts to suck everything that is near into that "other diension" and it grows.
so i guess time can run backwards too. |
speed o light is something like 168,000 miles per second..kinda speedy

Hello? Was a fuckup by CNN. Shuttle travels at 18x the speed of SOUND.

light doesnt reflect off black holes. they pull the light beams in, and they never escape. so black holes cant be seen. and even if the could get the camera near, it would be sucked and it would just dissappear. just like that, disappear into nothingness. black holes can swallow whole planes into them. they can swallow huge stars. planes just disappear in some other dimension and never come back. |
i wanna go into another dimension

A black hole is a region of space that has so much mass concentrated in it that there is no way for anything not even light to escape its gravitational pull.
The gravitation pull of a black hole is bigger than the speed of light and since nothing is bigger than the speed of light nothing can escape a black hole it will be sucked back in. When you get close to a black hole you will start to be ripped apart since the pull "tidal forces" starts to effect the parts of your body that are closest to the black hole first and you will start to "stretch" and eventually be ripped a part to pieces. This will happen to everything that goes into a black hole. |
All you need to know

Who gives a fuck about speed of anything... the real discussion here shold be about what type of asshole sits in front of their tv watching cnn taking pictures.
