Thailand is like any corrupt shithole. You don't do anything until you understand the rules of the game and know the right people. Those that break that simple rule usually pay for it. Police always have to make some arrests for show as they let everyone else break the law.

Always wise to know politics in ant third world country. Usually just paying a small amount.

100,000 bht is only like $3,200. I say he gets the fine and gets shown the door.

If he has half decent connections he will be ok, it will cost him more than 100 000THB though.

In reality, he'll have to grease everyone involved and pay a very hefty fine to be able to stay in the country, which will probably cost a lot more than it cost for his porn charges.

When it's all said and done, I wouldn't be surprised if he pays out $50k - $100k+ USD, not Thai baht. The police have fleeced a lot of guys in the past for huge sums, so they know the score. 100,000 Thai baht is peanuts compared to what they are going to really get.
