Oddly enough, I'm finding a great amount of satisfaction fixing up a 1990 Chevy Sidestep. I blame this on the show "Wheeler Dealers". Remember that car you wanted when you were a kid but couldn't afford? You can buy it dirt cheap, slam $5k or $10k into it, and have yourself a brand new car.

I have a brand new car in the garage and it's just collecting dust.

This is a great example - In fact, they did this car on Wheeler Dealers a bit back. I wanted a Quattro when I was in the Marines. I would kill to have one of these really.

Someday in the not-too-distant future I plan to do the same with a '79 Ford stepside, restoring it similiar to a custom show-truck I owned in the early 80s. You never forget your first.

I've been trying to forget my first... My first car was a low key Renault 18i - dull and boring. But I wouldn't mind having my next car... A late 70s camaro.

Any new AUDI or BMW...

Yes, some of you living in Europe or USA are very lucky, because here in the south the AUDIs and BMW are impossible to buy, they are 5 times more expensive than there. Never understood why...

Anyway, I always liked this one too:

Gas-only cars are for gaylords. If you drive a gas-only car, you're a gay. You listen to Madonna and watch Glee 24/7. It's true, deal.

A super classic or high end car would leave me worrying about the damn car too much.
Something too precious would spend all of it's time in a museum like private garage.

This is like a Twilight Zone where you get 3 wishes but can't foresee the consequences of the wishes being fulfilled. Before you know it, you're Hitler!

Too many sweet rides out there.

First thing that came to mind. Actually, I would probably prefer a kit version as the original had so much torque as to make it far too dangerous for the average motorist.

I have most my original dream cars, now it's just time to think of new dreams. I'm divided between an Aston and a Lambo for next car.

99% of the ones you see on the street are kit cars. No collectors will drive theirs.
