Your examples aren't really porn search terms...

I have safe search turned off..

in my results, no porn for a search for "blowjob" until the last item on page 4

and for foot fetish only 2 sites are porn related on page 1.

(You're in Australia, try it with Google.com .... I just checked and there is a big difference in results)

that may be.. but before this last update if safe search was turned off, searching for those terms would have resulted in 90% porn sites on page 1...

the results that are there now is what it looked like a week ago with safe search turned on.

Just saying, it was not that way a week ago with safe search off..

free porn and most anything with porn in the phrase is fine. but before with safe search off, blowjob or foot fetish etc etc would return mostly porn sites.

Google isn't censoring porn, all those results are pretty much what you'd expect.

Turning safesearch off doesn't mean you're going to instantly get more porn for any given result, it just means that some sites may appear more frequently.

I understand your point, I'm just saying that I don't think Google is censoring or penalizing porn. The results you got last week were probably sites which have been adjusted in the latest update.

I could see a complaint if for those keywords there weren't relevant results but the results look pretty relevant to me.

Not that I am much of a conspiracy theorist, but instead of bible thumper issues, it is now making me think they did this on purpose to generate more traffic to non porn sites.... thinking that a larger percentage of non porn sites use Adwords/Adsense and as a result it will drive up their profits. (As they gain no revenue from porn for the most part).

I can understand trying to limit accidental exposure, but this seems a little overboard.

It does make me think alot of people searching for porn may switch to Bing though.. And hell, if they like it, they may just switch permanently...

Actually one of reasons why this happen was case with site anal santorum which outranked official site of rick santorum,so that is why google changed algorithm to give advantage to "official pages" against porn pages.

Here's all I know. If I want to see blowjob content and typing blowjob doesn't bring up results I want. Then I will just type blowjob porn, blowjob porno, blowjob movies, free blowjob porno movies.. and etcetera.

So while it may drop "blowjob" and show wikipedia and whatnot.. I dont see it as a real terrible problem. In fact, thats a terrible general term and for advertising it's better to make the query more focussed anyway.

I will agree with that.. I mean I do see where traffic could be higher quality in the long run because it will weed out some traffic that would probably not have been productive. Just troublesome that the surfer has to take one more additional step they did not have to in the past. and honestly, people that pay for porn are not the sharpest pencils in the box with all of the piracy out there.

But it really does irk me that for most terms I punch in now, illegal tube sites and illegal file sharing sites rank even noticeably higher than they did before. (along with sites that have scraped my site titles) I suppose surfers would be happy to get exactly what they want.. porn they do not have to pay for.. whether it is illegal or not... we need something with the same level of clout and aggressiveness as the RIAA for porn. LOL

Got news for y'all google is now taking your search history into account when it offers results so different people will get different results, generally speaking.

Yep i would dare to say those who lost traffic from keyword like "pussy" gained it on other keywords so in the end they got more traffic.Too bad i am not among those :(

You can clear it in the tools section...Thing that sucks about google on this is they turn it back on after your search...you have to go back again and again...thats why I'm using BING and Yahoo more and more...

Ya, i never target 1 word keywords, usually at least 3 is what i focus on, sometime more which is probably too narrow lmao.. i was just making an observation about the results though...

I used to rank #1 for the past 3-4 years for a 3 word search and it brought in a ton of traffic.. and now my site is buried below illegal tubes, so I started just doing some random searches for different niches and was surprised with the overall Google results (or should i say, lack there of)

ya, i had noticed that.. when i would go back to google and start a new search, it has old search terms within the url including the new search terms.. (along with a ton of other data i.e. browser info, etc..)

Google has devalued sites containing affiliate links. That's the reason why 'porn sites' rank poorly these days.
