What's the most you ever sold a domain for?
What's the most you ever sold a domain for? How about purchased one for? Any idea what the average domain price is these days?
I think the average domain price on the aftermarket is in the $1000-2000 range.
I sold a domain which cost me reg fee for $2500 within a month of registering it. Someone out there, famous, wanted it :)
$1000 for a two year old domain, it was for a mainstream business but it had a pornblog on it lol
I sold one for $2000 - bought one for $70 (Network solutions)
5000$ for a dash domain....crazy crazy UK person sent me an offer out of the blue...thought it was a wind up for a while...then BAM! the money hit my account...it was a shit domain...
$85,000 for a single domain - $210,00 for a package.
I've sold a few...the highest was for $25,000.00
Oh the highest I ever paid for a domain was $6500 and resold it for 12.5.
never sold a domain... never bought a domain, only registered my domains "the normal way"...
Sold only one for $1500.00. I've seen some high prices paid, but it seems most with huge price tags aren't developed, so it makes you wonder if someone spent tens of thousands on a domain that just sits. Follow some of the auctions and you will see what I mean.
Many of those high priced domains that are sold go to end users who plan on building a company or business from it. Other buyers usually have a higher buyer waiting in line or the domain has high search values and gets natural traffic that will earn affiliate money or parking revenue.
The biggest profit was a 8.99$ domain sold for 21000$. (it was a typo domain making around 850$/month).
Hmmmm...
I was offered a decent amount for outfuckingstanding.com (4 figure amount) but didn't do the deal :Oh crap
$8000 is the most I got for a domain, then that person re-sold it for $15k 2 years later. All I paid was the reg fee and renewals.
Most I paid was $2200 and it was for a friend sold at cost. |
$180,000
Sold coochietube.in |
Seriously $180k? That domain is terrible.

needers.com for, uhm, $125 I guess?
The only domain I ever sold :) |
I'll pay 10% finders fee for a buyer for greatbongs.com at $1000 or higher. I'm sticking with hookahs.. :winkwink:
as far as my undeveloped one's
the coolest mainstream domain i got is vintagehollywoodactresses.com the coolest adult domain i got is lesbianbreastfeeding.com |
I'm not and have never been a domain guy, but once got an email offering $1000 for a domain that I had registered a few months prior. I just accepted it straight up. I love it when business goes like that.
It's now a popular site, so I guess the guy easily made his money back. |

I list all my domains at a minimum one million dollars. I sale no domains.
i sold blackpeopleeatfiredchickentube.com for $30
billions of dollars. |
Highest is $60,000 which I had bought for about $3,000 a couple years earlier. Nearly brokered a $250,000 sale but the seller only wanted it upfront vs. over 12 months (and still has the domain 3 years later).

Last one hand reg into $7500. I'm a very patient seller though so sometimes I wait a few years for the stars to align just right. Most of my sales fall in the 1-10k range. Think the most I ever spent was $50-$100 on a domain so in terms of ROI can't complain as most were picked up expired for $7-$8. Brokered a few as well ranging from 1-100k+. I don't sell a ton but when I do sell one I usually make out pretty well. Busy with some mainstream projects where my domain sales efforts have kinda taken a backseat, just recently trying to fire that revenue stream back up again.
Low xx,xxx for an ok domain. Two words. Well a word and an abbreviation.
Two for 10k each both mainstream, many for less. Can't seem to sell my adult ones for anything, despite them seeming really good.
I buy it only a few months with no need of expensive
10 grand.

i sold some in the low x,xxx |
35k and got it for a $35 backorder. It should have went for loads more but an upset party jacked up the auction. A well known motorcycle manufacturer ended up with it, a well known band was the upset party who screwed the auction for me. I was told afterwards I was the bands #1 enemy.. lol Like a really gave a fuck.
