What the fuck is up with Ratios ??
I understand that the lates Panda/Penguin update has affected SEPRs but what does it have to do with ratios?
Traffic to the network is the same and so are most of the SERPs but this last week has been ridiculous. Hits to sponsors are also the same as they were. My network sales ratio is 0:8.5k and 2 weeks ago it was at 1:1800 for Raw hits to sponsors according to nifty stats. On of my top sponsor ratios was 1:800 3 weeks ago and last week it was 0:17k Did this Panda update affect credit card processing or what?? |
Ratios like 0:8k and 0:17k are very bad. This signals bad quality of traffic or users that are not wanting to signup for some reason. What happened with credit card processing? I don't know. Perhaps more people will reply to help you. Good ratios are hard to get.

From good to nothing at all? |
Ratios start getting bad right around now and will continue to suck pretty much all summer. That's why they call it the summer slow down.

Shit I just wish I could lower my average ratio, every month it stays around 1:2,500 for all of my sponsors together and I can't get it lower no matter what I do! Of course my NATS programs are usually only around 1:1,000 but fucking CCBill ruins my average. My best sponsor is converting at 1:837 this month. This is all SE blog traffic...overall I'm pretty happy with this month, the rebills have been helping me out.

Before: 1:385
After: 1:1238 :mad::Oh crap |
Pretty soon we will have to have an industry summit and figure out some other way to monetize traffic.
I would wager that everyone is getting good clicks to their join pages but what seems to shuffle around with no rhyme or reason is the form submissions... Why do soooo many go to the join form even when they know the price. Join form submission percentage average for the past 7 years was 33% for every april since 2005 This April that average tanked down to 6% and like you all can guess....more traffic than ever, good updates, more affiliates, better keyword rankings.... every indicator would suggest that april should have been much better. Every stat saw an increase except form submission percentage...the form submission fell off the map to the point of unacceptability |

IMHO quality of traffic changed. After penguin, less targeted traffic is coming - google fails to deliver people what they are actually looking for. |
1: 919 in April. Started bad but compensated last several days
