Skype is dragging ass
 

Skype seems to have some kind of a memory leak since the last update, I have to exit and restart it several times a day or else it takes the PC like 15 minutes to switch to the task when I go back and forth between Skype and other running programs.

I used to leave it open for months at a time with no issues.

Is this happening to anybody else?

I've had tons of problems since the latest upgrade. It's been going straight to voicemail alot, my number wont show up correctly sometimes, mic wont work at times. I never had these problems until recently

I havent noticed anything peculiar on my end. So far, Skype is the only thing running w/o problems...

I am starting to suspect "they" are spying on us with Skype, listening to our phone calls and watching us masturbate.

I am kinda kidding but it's crossed my mind.

New update made it suck for me too.

Same - I tried using Trillion instead and it uses port:80 to run Skype. How stupid is that!!?

Actually, I was looking for Skype phones on Amazon as you posted this - Any recommendations?

My Bluetooth starts cutting out after a few minutes of talking. I haven't figured out yet if it's Skype, my Bluetooth, or my Bluetooth connection.

What's the advantage of a Skype phone when you can use the app on common smartphones?

I used to use a netgear one once but its discontinued now. It worked ok some of the time but would reset itself at odd times (usually in the middle of calls) for no apparent reason.

I got offline client messages after 4 days,now client will think how i ignore him yet it is all because of stupid skype.Icq maybe sucks but offline message usually deliver better then any other im.

And we all bitched about ICQ. LOL.

I was actually thinking about making something called "adult messenger"which will be specialized for adult people,but people would probably still stick with icq/skype simply because of habit.

Anyone tried ooVoo ? We are considering making the switch but I can't seem to find anyone I "know" that has ever used it.

Skype has a memory leak? That sucks. Lots of people replied that they have problems with the last update. There are always bugs to fix. Skype phone has advantages and disadvantages. Good luck.

Skype made it onto my "shit I'll never again install on any of my computers"-list a few years ago. I guess not much has changed :/
