Logos

I want to thank everybody who responded to my request for logos a few days ago. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Seems every day brings a new fire to put out.

Biggest is my programmer can't solve one problem to make to make the web site work. Guy is good, honest, and fair priced. But this has been going on far too long.

I've had an offer for a free web site, but the guy is so Old School he has no clue what SQL is. Still writes in MS Access.

Do you want to expand on what the programming issue is? There are plenty of people here, who might be able to give advice, or finish the project for you. :2 cents:

web site

The site is main stream and is up and running. Just not generating any money.

It's a directory site that give free listings to a niche of businesses. These are broken down by state and then into regions, if there are too many businesses in a state. Problem 1 is some regions cross state lines. Businesses usually have one store. If they have more than one, they are treated as separate businesses. There are 3 classes of businesses, but for the web site, they have been treated as one class.

The revenue is to come from paid ads from vendors who service this niche. So there are two databases. The vendors usually have one location but service multiple states & regions. Especially in areas like New England. As for vendors, there are about 20 separate classes. Ads are to be sold by commissioned sales people. There will be a few national ads and affiliate ads, but I've never had much luck with affiliate income.

So far the site has taken 2 years to develop. Programming is one problem. The other is just developing the directory, lots of information. However, I don't work on it full-time as I have other things that need attention. This last glitch has been going on since before 2012.

My programmer has been paid to date and hasn't charged me lately for the final fix. A reason I hate to drop him. And as I said he's reasonable and lives in the same city, so that's a big plus. I also think one of the reasons he hasn't charged is he likes the niche and believes it will be a long-term money maker for both.

I just hate to start over as my budget is draining away quickly. I understand he's working several jobs, looking for a better one and has some ill family members, but I need to get this site up and making money now.

Once that's up any running, the goal is to create blogs to generate traffic.
