I also experienced something similar in Bronx N.Y. back in early 2000 but mine wasn?t from a bike brake. I was shot and taken to Jacobi hospital. Trying to figure out how that would have transpired. Brakes are on the opposite side of the handle bar from where the rider is sitting.. she hits a pot hole, and what? Front wheel goes completely sideways + and she hits with enough force that a blunt object pierces that far.. how fast and how hard did she hit? and how could you not see a pothole that big..?
