Great article. I suffer from over-wordiness sometimes, but it gives me great organic search results.

Not bad but it seems a bit outdated... it really seems like the kind of article you would have seen in a 1999 issue of Fast Company.

For those too lazy to read: dumb down your sales pitch so a child could understand it.

That sure is a long article that can be summed up with:

"say less and keep it simple."

Author needs to take his own advice.

I deal with this often when prospecting new clients... so much so that no matter what content we write or videos we make, they just need the simplest and almost stupid answer

Yeah, the article appears a bit outdated but when looking at very successful corporate sites I see they take the authors comments to heart.

Good point, only a search engine bot will read that...........

I think online you basically need both. At the beginning a very simple idiot's guide in bullet point format and then a Markhamesque (without the gratuitous repeats of $3,000 every 10 words) wall of text just for the bots.
