Borderline Adult Website...2257 Warning Page Necessary?
I have a buddy of mine that is currently working on this site...nerdpeeps.
Some of the pictures that he has on there are borderline adult (no definitive nudity per se, but it definitely treads into that gray area)...should he put an 2257 Warning Page up anyways? I don't feel like it needs to be front and centre, but at least a page that one can click on, similar to a FTC Disclaimer page. |
I dont think you quite understand what your asking.
A warning page is NOT the same as a 2257 page. Might want to have him ask an attorney. |

I run a TGP site, which as far as I know doesn't need a 2257. Since I'm not the original producer of the content. I'm going to include 'one' anyways though, by which I mean I'm going to include a 2257 disclaimer statement, I'm don't think I'll need an actual custodian of records unless/until I begin to create my own content. However it won't hurt to have one. Pornguy has a point though,.. You may want to read up on the 2257 some more (all adult webmasters should, myself included) & an attorney would be better suited to answer your question. I listed some links that may be good reading for you. wiki.org/Child_Protection_&_Obscenity_Enforcement_Act#2257_ Regulations - wiki.org/C_P_&_O_E_Act~2257#References adultwebmasterlaw.blogspot/top-10-cheat-sheet-for-2257 avvo.com/legal-answers/do-i-need-18-u-s-c--2257.. 2257services 2257snap |
