Who's buying regularly from TrafficHolder? Have you checked your referrers?

just got some time and went trough my referrers of traffic I bought from TrafficHolder. damn is it full of shitty, shady websites. I even found hits from animal sex sites, implied incest, youngest this and that. Fuck

Massimo 06-04-2012 07:57 AM

yeah, here's the same. I was testing their traffic, spent small amounts $200-300, bounce rate was 100%. When I checked referrers it was a shock. I contacted their support, showed the websites with animal sex and claimed for refund, they told me I should have used personal blacklist. Shady network!

You can order traffic by domain. Review their list of domains and pick the sites that best match your landers.

Black/White List (Domain Filters) are available...

Massimo 06-04-2012 08:23 AM

KingNigel,

that's exactly what I should do in a first place instead of US order. But who new there would be so many shitty domains in the referrers. I never bought traffic from ad networks before. Exoclick results were much better, and good domains in referrers, so I didn't expect trafficholder would send me this crap traffic if i didn't pick up exact domains

yep they are. But first you need to spend your money and risk your project while getting traffic from illegal sources.

Why should buyers need to use a blacklist? Why not filter the traffic from the start and offer clients better traffic from the get-go?

I go even further. 75% of my buys are from specific domains and I have unique landing pages for each one of those domains.

Because there's no such thing as 1 type of good traffic. It all depends on where it's coming from and where you're sending it to.

What will work for one landing page or one client won't necessarily work for another.

I kind alike the way they're doing things. Prices are good and I can do most of the filtering myself.

Because meeting the customers needs and delivering a product that performs is hard and less important than price.

How many of the sites were piracy sites?

I do understand that. I wasn't expecting much sales or good traffic performance just from $200. What I planned is to buy around 200k traffic and then make a white list of sites which performed better.
I'm fine to buy traffic and then optimize campaigns.
But I didn't expect a good bunch of traffic come from illegal sources. This is not for what I was going to pay.

And the thing is trafficholder should pay more attention to the sources they accept to sell traffic, just not rely on buyers making white/black lists.

Pretty sure I used to use them back in the day to feed CJs... if that's the same place that used to throw you an extra 10k hits or something if you added their button and link at the bottom of your page. They used a copied page of Juoppa Juarmo or something, whatever the fuck it was and used to blast traffic from there.

Later on I traded with them and the traffic back was shit. This was like maybe 2000 something, early.

Fuck em.
