CCbill signup form is horrid

i'm about to go live with a few sites and when signing up as an affiliate or a member the form for ccbill just looks fucking shady... especially when signing up as an affiliate and it is asking for your social security #... i am thinking i'm going to go through the trouble of promoting this and newer people to the industry like myself won't want to fill in that form for fear it is a scam... is there anyway to request a more legit looking form from them?

one signup landing i like alot is hentaibiz.com which uses kaydensupport for billing.. anyone know if they are good?

Sly 05-18-2012 04:42 PM

This is a business. If it's an American company paying an American, a tax ID or Social Security number are required.

I consider myself to be "newer" to promoting adult sponsors and in the short time I have been promoting them, I've learned that ccbill is preferred no matter what the form looks like. Unlike other sponsors, I know as long as the program is open I'm going to continue to receive my rebills. I wouldn't worry too much :2 cents:

Pornaffs 05-18-2012 04:50 PM

i want to use ccbill as i've heard good things, but aren't you able to modify the colors/font etc to make it look more legit? i just think that signup for is horrible and ccbill should either change it to look more secure or you as the client should be able to modify it in the back end... you have to admit the form looks like shit and i'm positive people who were going to signup have xed out and changed there mind because of how horrible that form looks...

I'm not sure if you can customize the form. I just promote the sites, I've never ran one. I'm sure someone here can answer your question. I can say I've signed up for a lot of ccbill sponsors and haven't seen a custom form, not that I can remember anyway.

CCBill is very trusted by both surfers and affiliates. Don't hate, just go with it dude.

EDepth 05-18-2012 05:58 PM

Most people already have CCBill affiliate accounts, so its not like they are all going to be entering in a ss# as they are just linking a new aff id to their pre-existing one. I believe you can customize colors but thats about it.

BV 05-18-2012 06:14 PM

Please read all comments embedded in the following HTML code and follow the instructions to ensure compatibility with CCBill's Affiliate program. Copy the HTML code below, paste it into your favorite text editor, save it as an HTML file, and then upload it to your server. Affiliates can immediately start to sign up.

<!--
The latest version of the signup form is much simpler and takes up less space on the site. It also gives affiliates the ability to check stats while logging in only once, since through this interface it links all of the affiliate account numbers together. All the form field names and maxlengths must remain unchanged. In order to customize the look of the long signup form (the form to which this one leads), change the following form fields below:

page_background: Full URL to a background image.
page_bgcolor: Page background color.
page_text: Color of text outside of table.
page_link: Link color of all hyperlinks.
page_vlink: Visited link color of all hyperlinks.
page_alink: Active link color of all hyperlinks.
table_left: Color of left side of table.
table_right: Color of right side of table.
table_text: Color of text inside of table.
star_color: Color of the asterisks for required fields.

I wonder if the ratios are better with ccbill than with other processors.

I as a surfer find zombaio or epoch FORMs quite simple, you just enter 2 o3 fields and you are done.

In ccbill you need to enter a lot of data to signup as a surfer. I really wonder if that affect sales or not..

fitzmulti 05-18-2012 08:38 PM

Whine, whine, whine...

anexsia 05-18-2012 09:23 PM

The only complaint I have about CCBill is their backend stats and sometimes their ratios can be horrible...but other than that, they're great...it's such a relief to not have to worry about getting paid because they pay ON TIME. I've also never had a problem giving out my SSN to programs...just have to make sure they're legit and use common sense.

That's comical. With a SSN or business tax ID, you can't be doing business with CCBill.

If you think that's shady, well, you haven't been in business long.

garce 05-18-2012 10:46 PM

I don't know why I keep coming back. I must have issues...

I have always thought the same as well,

even though it's trusted.. it sure doesn't exude legitimacy.

SwirlsGirl 05-19-2012 06:00 AM

why do you worry so much about join forms...the join forms has very little to do with sales

Always check your traffic, content, and modem first

raymor 05-19-2012 06:18 AM

What adjustments would make it look more trustworthy, on your opinion? Of course large banks and the like have invested tions of money into finding out EXACTLY what appearance engenders trust, do one could just copy them.

HUH? is it irony or not?

A better join page can increase your overall conversion >10%.

Datasource: myself, but did A/B quite extensively, and you can hardly convince me otherwise.

Im bumping this thread in the hope ccbill will get a move on with the new join forms - ive just had a chat with a live help agent and was told it was normal to have 245 form hits (to 1 site) with 1.5% submission and 0 sales in 1 day - sorry, but I dont agree.

These join forms were created some ten years ago for users on 800 x 600 pixel screens who were alot more desperate to get their porn fix and would work out the form, users are different nowadays, they expect easy navigation with a clear layout and mobile friendly.

As far as i'm concerned if I've sent 245 users to the ccbill join form then it is over to them, i'm happy I get them from my join page to the ccbill join form, maybe even with better forms the ratios may not change, but it would be good if CCBill would at least try, i'm not the only one who has requested form updates.

if I designed a site for a client today that looked like it was ten years old i'd be fired! it's time to get these forms up to date, not just for myself but for everyone who uses CCBill - they first posted news about 'join forms in the works' about 6 months ago, I tried to look in the client news archive but it wouldn't load, I asked an agent and they didn't know when they will be live, seriously how long does it take? copy epoch's forms! they are great!

I like working with ccbill and the trust that we all have for them, I don't want to change, I just want new forms and not the promise they will come one day.
