MS just issued 500,000 copyright complaints to Google demanding links be removed to pirate MS products.

Now search Bing for Sex Video.

Something has to give soon - It can not carry on like this.

pornguy 05-25-2012 05:16 AM

This is just fucing sad.

" In July 2011, the point at which its statistics start, Google was getting requests to remove 129,063 links per week. In May 2012 this figure had risen to 284,850. In the past month, more than 1.2 million links on 24,000 separate sites were removed. Requests to de-list links came from 1,296 separate copyright holders. "

"Fighting online piracy is very important, and we don?t want our search results to direct people to materials that violate copyright laws. "
Pathetic clowns. Mother fuckers son of a bitches

brassmonkey 05-25-2012 05:46 AM

there is no fight once its out there theres nothing to be done. hopefully your program is so good you dont need to chase pirates.

michael.kickass 05-25-2012 09:04 AM

MS is pathetic.

nickutis 05-25-2012 09:29 AM

why the hate? Isn't that good that google will take away pirate sites from showing up in serps ... or world just flipped overnight and we wanna see torrents all over the serps ?

iwantchixx 05-25-2012 09:51 AM

Something tells me you'd all sing a different tune if it was YOUR copyrighted works in question....

iwantchixx 05-25-2012 10:03 AM

ha! I see why you're complaining now that I actually did a sex video search on bing.. wow. talk about MS calling the kettle black huh

signupdamnit 05-25-2012 10:06 AM

I really think the best way to fight this is by embarrassment. Bring it to the attention of the public and shareholders. For example, when the MPAA or the major media companies next talk about fighting piracy just ask them about their connections to major online pirates. When they say "What?" point out all the Manwin related PPV offerings shown over cable and point out the connections the company has to piracy in the porn industry. Embarrass them enough and something just might change. The same could work for Microsoft and others too.

good :thumbsup

Microsoft's requests dwarf those of the British Phonographic Institute, which represents record labels.

Was it just me who read this the first time and thought, what the fuck is the British Pornographic Institute and why are the representing record labels?

exactly ..... Here's an interesting idea, if you own a website/blog only use your own content. Sounds simple to me.

that's a lot of requests. Pretty amazing that it only takes them an average of 11 hours to comply with a request.

It would be about as effective as anything else we can do about it.
