Adult Blogs with videos vs. pictures

Usually most adult blogs I found have pictures instead of movies.

Does that got anything to do with Google and his definitions whether blog could be defined as tube site if contain a lot of movies?

Google does look for different media types from what I've heard, but I haven't found that it makes a difference myself :2 cents:

In theory videos on your blog should help with your bounce time, although it doesn't always work that way...

seeandsee 05-28-2012 10:53 AM

it depends on traffic and what do you want to get from it

The reason why is videos is a lot more work.

With a photo, you just toss the photo up there in your post. With video you have to size it right, upload it, set it, get the url, insert it.... Ten times as much work and ten times longer.

Embeds are easier than photos.

True. Except that if you embed those scripts and edit something later the video disappears. Wordpress sucks on that.

But yes, I agree;
With a plugin or embed code it's just as easy to publish a blogpost with a video that it is with a post with pics.

With the pictures you get clicks (that counts a bit SEO) and with video (if they watch the whole thing) you keep the surfer longer on your page, that is also a good thing SEO wise. (better bounce numbers), but as Profits of Doom says in his post. It doesn't always work that way.

I tried that on one blog and got worse bounce.
It's all down to how correct you do your thing

I dunno, but right now I'm gonna say that pics are better than video embeds if you use all the wordpress fields for images... alt, title, caption. All of those things contribute to your serps, but a chunk of video embed code doesn't seem as friendly. Plus your images have the potential to come up in image searches while videos won't.

What on earth are you doing with videos that makes it longer than adding pictures? They are virtually the same.

Personally, I like to mix it up and use both.
