I hit a deer once in winter when I was younger. The mother and two fawns shot across the 55mph roadway I was on at point blank range, which they always freaking do. I slammed the brakes but it was winter and I just slid into one of the fawns at near 55mph. Not a thing I could do except call and report the mile marker when I reached home. GF's car was a bit dinged!

At least you're alive. A good friend of mine hit a moose and died.
