Good news for all content owners and honest webmasters - domain name forumophilia.com which formerly belonged to a famous piracy forum where they posted crazy amounts of infringing links to various filehosts (mostly oron), has been suspended thanks to those guys:

I am fairly certain Fris is correct, or at least recently. I was trying to sign up about a month ago so I could contact a poster and it was required for me to get an invite.

I pray you people are just padding post counts considering its a webmaster forum and all you have to do to see if its "up" is dig a root nameserver. Not to mention I posted a simple link to check it earlier.

There is no up/down "here", "there" or "anywhere"; the root servers either return an IP for the domain or they dont.

I was referring to the fact that the infringing links are openly available to anyone.

DNS caching. propagation time. routing problems. downed lines. route filtering. null routing. DNS poisoning. There are lots of reasons why something would be working in one place and not another.

BTW I bet only 15% of the "webmasters" here even know what dig or nslookup is :winkwink:

None of those things have anything to do with a registrar suspending a domain. Knowing if a random forum users ISP has it cached isn't relevant.

It's a shame the suspension didn't last long. I suggest we stop bickering and all go fap to some free stolen content.

Suspended domains can also return an ip address, depending on the status code they have. The easiest way to see if a domain is suspended is to check its whois status, not to dig or nslookup its IP address.

Dig returns a result for me here and also via the dig tool on kloth.net.

I have a sysadmin and networking administration background, but thank you for assuming that I'm an idiot.

Up there on 2 different ISPs and using google dns too.

Certain ukrainians, they was kiev or dnipropetrovsk, nick is Good Samaritan , real name not sure. Tried to PM the bossd about some links and they replied funny stuff such as they not need money because USA president pay them already.

Let's see after 24-48 hours, if up then these infringement-stats.com it was a fail. If down they are legend.
