CCBill Cookies - Which is better, 3 days or > 3 days?
Any CCBill program with it's Cookie Length set to > 3 days is ONLY tracked by cookies and nothing else. If you were promoting a CCBill program would you prefer it's tracking setting to be on 3 days meaning it's being tracked via IP and Cookie or would you prefer a 30 day Cookie without IP tracking?
From here http://www.ccbill.com/admin-demos/af...d-features.php |
Where did you get that info? You certainly may be right but why in the world would they drop the IP tracking after 3 days? System can't handle all that info. or what?

I'd prefer 3 days with the extra tracking.

One could argue it's in CCBill's interest for sponsors to make as much profit as possible, to keep them in business, as without sponsors there can be no affiliates. Or perhaps like you suggest it's too much info to store, but why would they not still store the first 3 days IP info for a 30 day cookie? That's what makes me think it's to do with making sponsors as profitable as possible |
