Any must have apps for the iPad?
 

Just picked one up, curious if there were any "must have" apps (or good games) that are pad specific.

I just got one to use as a wireless monitor for my camera. I had to buy a Teradek Cube to be able to do this, but it's pretty fucking cool.

Since my plan is to mainly use this on set, it's loaded up with apps for filmmakers.

How accurate are the iPad colors or do you have to adjust it?

Is there a way to make it not force me to add my account password every time I try to download an app?

Not that I am aware of. It's so people can't just take your iPad and start downloading content willy nilly.

The out of the box color settings look good, so I didn't really bother adjusting them. I just got it a few days ago. I will dig deeper soon I'm sure.

The frisbee app is cool too.

So far mine has been a disappointment as I can't sync Bento to my Mac Air. However it's great for reading in bed, as The Boss isn't disturbed by a reading light as when reading "real" books.
Had to get a new one the other day as the Home button wouldn't work. No hassle, no receipt, gave me a new one. iPad was 6 months old.
Only problem, I thought I backed up my stuff to the Air. Got home, no backup. So backup & triple check you have a backup. Lost several books I paid for and a few other minor notes.
As for the Bento problem, everybody at the Apple store was stumped.

Watching Netflix and other streaming services is pretty well the main use for mine.

Diet Coda has ssh, ftp, html, php, etc...

Place it in the bin and get a galaxy tab.

I'm a big Android proponent and we've got 5 Android tablets here at my house as well, the iPad is in a whole different league really.

Took me a long while to be able to admit that. :1orglaugh

We've got one and it really doesn't come close. I felt the same way, until I actually got to spend some time with the iPad.

Actually the $99 HP Touchpad that I have overclocked and running Android 4, is a better tablet than the Galaxy Tab (original model - they both came out around the same time).

Apps I use daily.

Bloomberg TV (great to have Bloomberg live on the go)
Zite (Magazine App I use to keep track of topics I like to read)
