If you don't know what he's talking about, what the hell do you know about Obama and a second term?

so true, 99% of them know only 1 interest: their bank account

best investment a company can make: give a couple of $10.000 to a US politician and he'll get it back to you in millions in contracts or laws that benefit you

how this even qualifies as a democracy when they've legalized bribery, worse then Italy ever was

Not really, here's why.

In 2010, Scott Walker got 52.3% of the vote, vs Tom Barrett's 46.5%.

In 2012, Scott Walker got 53%, but had to spend $30 Million dollars to get that extra point, PLUS block people from voting, PLUS generate misinformation with robo-calls, etc.

Also don't forget that yesterday, the Republicans lost control of the senate to the Democrats (You won't hear this coming from Rush Limbaugh today).

While the kooks at Faux News are probably still partying, Rove, the Koch brothers and the rest of them shitting in their pants. This microcosm cost a fortune, and they almost lost. They are about to drop a billion dollars to try to the election in November, and they may despite all that cash. They're nervous, and they should be.

I never look forward to fall (I hate the cold) but I am really looking forward to November. I am especially looking forward to the first debate between Obama and Mr. Mittens. Oh my god it is going to be sweet.

Thats funny I was just watching MSNBC didn't see it there either.
Its a moot point anyways, they won't meet again until after the November elections.

There's a much more intelligent and interesting thread about the topic already, started by Minte. This one? It's like it was started by someone eating paste and struggling with his crayons to color in the lines.

You just proved you know nothing about me. I have mastered crayons and now have mommy's permission to use washable magic markers, long as I don't write on the walls she said.

The primary hope for Romney at this point is that the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision is effective in shifting democracy in this country even more to the control of a small elite, whom do not necessarily put the nation's interest ahead of their own often multi-national corporate and foreign interests.

Ah, so the people with money should not be in power right? Let the people with no money, yeah the ones that don't pay taxes, get unemployment, welfare, etc etc control the country. Wait, that's what has been going on for the last three years isn't it?

Most working blue collar people have little or no money, strange how you exclude that whole group, but the question isnt whether people with money should be in power, the question is should people with money control who is in power. 33 million was spent from only 5 outside groups for Walker, you think they have your best interest at heart?

baddog 06-06-2012 08:46 PM

You only presume he won because of the money spent. Could be he would have won no matter how much the other guys spent.

Rachel Madow, Ed Shultz, Lawrence O'Donnell, Alex Wagner, Martin Bashir, all have different opinions.

This is what I don't get about the Republicans. Are they utterly blind to the truth?

No way McCain was going to win anything last time around. Factor in eight years of Bush and a massive world wide recession and add in McCain (not to mention Palin) and a my pet dog would have done better than McCain.

I'm looking at the way the next round is shaping up, and the question is "Are things better now than four years ago". And the answer is yes. I can't believe the Republicans think they have a chance here.

Are the Democrats like this when a Republican is in office?

No way in hell am I better off today than I was 4 years ago and I would say that is a safe bet for most people. Congrats on being part of the 1% [that is doing better].

Everyone would have a "Better" day / Life if they had a limitless credit card. I guess they are better, lots of people don't have to work and get the same amount or more $$.

actually yes, it was never prosecuted

but the fact that you need no proof for a fix by Obama, but a ton of proof for Bush, after all the "malfunctions" with voting machines and where the international observers wouldn't sign off on calling it a fair election (Bush-Gore election) just proofs your bias

no they should have the power of 1 vote and also in most cases we're not talking about people but companies and corporations and no they shouldn't have the same rights as people

if you think the poor control this White House means you only watch Fox, if there's one group that controls this White House the most it would be the Big Banks & Wall Street, yeah yeah he called them fat cats once and they're still bitching about that, but policy wise he has done nothing to really curb their influence, they've only become bigger and more powerful, so big that even Big Oil can't win from them (oil speculation)

Polls swung way too much, it was 40 million vs 4 million, sure I guess it could be his smile, but doubt it :)
