I always didn't see the point of and didn't have fb until I moved out of town. Have about 25 friends on there, mostly people I grew up with and just use it to keep in contact with them.

You guys are missing the point: Facebook is a SOCIAL-networking site.

Meeting new people is mostly what the site should be used for. If I want to stay in contact with friends and family only, I'll call my friends, and go to family meetings.
