For sure, I reckon that's how I ended up here today. Sent some traffic here and there back in 2007 (when I started), sales came in from a lot of sponsors, most of which were probably "Here's a new affiliate let's encourage him to promote us" sales.

I'm doing ok now, but if I'd known how much work it would be I would have tried something else.

Online casinos are a crazy profit machine, super shady crap if you ask me.

You deposit, lets say 100$.
You're very oftenly get a deposit bonus, often +100$ more.
And there is always a nice "small text catch", that to release the bonus, you gotta have bonus amount played x30 (meaning, to "unlock" the 100$ of bonus, you gotta play out 3000$).

And thats like.. impossible.
You do can choose not to accept bonus and hope you'll be 1 out of 100000000 that actually gets some jacpot shit on some slot game but............. :)

So in short, not sure what OP played and did he had any bonus attached to that 50 he deposited, but I kinda think even if he wanted to leave with his 1300, he couldn't :)

I think so, too! Six weeks ago I joined and deposited $50 to a casino. First deposit I won about $1500 - and I cashed it out. THen I have been depositing again maybe $500 i n total at that casino, only seeing small wins.

Next new casino I tried, same story. Deposited $50 and I won a bit over $2,000. Cashed out. Since that, only small wins.

You will ALWAYS lose no matter what "system" you adopt. If you want to be winning casino player you must cash out once you made some "profit" and never come back.

You summarized the gambling mindset - what all casinos, not just those online, are counting on. You don't want to walk away while you're down, but you don't want to walk away when you're on a hot streak, either. At least in an actual casino you can color out parts of your winnings and hand them to your wife or someone else to hold so you won't be tempted to tap into them to recoup your losses when your luck changes.

With casinos, people who are winning will keep playing, in order to keep winning. People who are losing will play "just a little more" to win back their losses. So for most people, they will only quit when they have no choice because they are out of money.

I used to run a craps table and almost nobody ever left with money.

It is true when you join a dating site, there's lots of girl-bots who contact you, then the guy upgrade to pay mode, then no girl contact again. But this cost nothing, to have girl-bots contact new dating free users to let them pay... to track not-happened sales to new affiliates it is quite an expensive promo... and if that was true, affiliates could do new affiliate accounts each few sales and cash constantly at new affiliate ratio (that you assume they gift, as sale not really happened so early).

I only go to casinos for the atmosphere. Why anyone would bet anything online on something other than a strategy or odds game is beyond me.. And even then your odds are always against you with a computer. Regular casinos are only required to payout roughly 10%. There are no such requirements online.
