question about video uploads
 

i have a question, for now most of my videos are embedded, the others i bought them, about 120 i bought with papers. In the near future, i plan on making my own content and slowly deleting the embedded videos and replacing with my own, but here is my question..

i want to keep my site clean, so what happens when people upload a video and they DONT own it or have 2257??

i cant msg every person and ask for docs, so should i leave it untill someone complaints about it?

So... by "embedded" videos you mean you have posted links to videos (on tube sites) that aren't yours and that you have not licensed? That might be a bad idea if the owners ever find you using their stuff to promote your site instead... or am I misunderstanding?

When it comes to 2257, the fees associated with the laws are so high that I wouldn't mess with anything or anyone that doesn't have their ducks in a row and all their releases signed. Just not worth it.

if you allow user upload, I don't see any possible way for you to stay 100% compliant with 2257
