HTML editor help please

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi

I am new at building my own websites.
I have been posting and writing stories for adult sites, but am ready to make a few of my own.

Looking for an easy HTML editor that is freeware for now.

Download PSPad
Full program version including English help file. PSPad does not require installation, it can be simply unpacked into any directory. The archive contains subdirectories and must be unpacked with subdirectory preservation enabled. Desktop and Start menu links, as well as system integration can be later created by choosing Program Settings/System Integration from PSPad's Settings menu and selecting the appropriate checkboxes. Everything is user controllable. Also available is an installer version that will automatically perform all of these tasks according to user preference.

notepad++ or Netbeans.org for PHP.

Here's a good primer for apps that are good for developers

notepad++ ftw.

crazyvipa 06-19-2012 09:02 AM

Notepad++ for windowns

Textmate is excellent for Mac... but I just found my new love: Sublime 2. Extremely powerful and uses very low resources.

textmate takes ~1 minute to search through a 3k file project, sublime takes ~10 seconds

I *think* Sublime 2 is Windows & Mac

----------
Should note, these are in no way a drag & drop program... if you are looking for drag & drop... then I would suggest building "fun" websites first to learn the html/css/js
